August 2020
Colorado Trail, United States
Mile for mile the most beautiful trail in the United States.
Karel will go for a new Fastest Known Time attempt, this time on the 782km long Colorado Trail. The biggest challenge will be the elevation (on average the trail is 3000m above sealevel) and the sleep deprivation (since the trail is shorter than the A.T. and P.C.T., Karel will have to run longer days with shorter nights from the start).

2020
Zugspitz Ultratrail, German Alps
In partnership with Led Lenser, Karel will be running the Zugspitz Ultratrail, 102.5k through the heart of the German Alps.
Though this is a distance that is very “short” for Karel, he will go there to enjoy the experience and have a great day out in the mountains, giving it his all.
2021
Te Araroa Trail, New Zealand
In the New Zealand summer of 2021 (European winter), Karel and his friends will go for another long-distance speed record. This time, they chose to return to their beloved New Zealand where they’ve had many beautiful experiences in the past.
The trail is 3054km long and Karel will, as usual, go for an average of about 2 marathons a day.
The Fastest Known Time is currently held by Jez Bragg, winner of the 2010 Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc.
